About us
The Ad Arte Foundation was established in 2003 and has specialized in short cinema since its inception. Since 2009 it has been organizing the Short Waves Festival, which is the largest project and the core of the Foundation’s activities. By acting at the intersection of film, art and music, it provides the public with constant access to unconventional cultural events, such as film screenings with unique audiovisual settings, exhibitions and workshops.
In addition to the Short Waves Festival, the Ad Arte Foundation is responsible for such projects as: Czas Letni Festival, DKF Interwaves, SWF Beyond, OFF Jeżyce and many other year-round activities. One of the Foundation’s main goals is also to organize educational events, showing how valuable short cinema can work effectively in this particular area.
Although the short film is the center of the Foundation’s interest, we do not close ourselves to the organization of other forms of events. Therefore, our projects also include concerts, exhibitions, panel discussions, workshops, podcasts or walks. Without looking back, we want to develop local culture by engaging our audiences in other new artistic experiences.
The activities of the Ad Arte Foundation are largely based on interaction with partners, which include: City of Poznań, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Region.
All those interested in the activities of the Ad Arte Foundation are welcome to cooperate.
